Couple of old sets i had kicking about would not fit as the extra length behind the bridge sadles to the ball end block meant the thinner peg windings of the string wasn't over the nut but halfway on the 1st fret. Bassfinger Posted August 2, 2022 Author Share Posted August 2, 2022 (edited) Tried painting the headstock, but bring the perfectionist that I am wasn't happy with the result. So went carbon instead. Should provide a nice contrast to the white truss rod cover. Once the glue is dry I can finish sanding the edges. But the imminent arrival of the relatively cooler weather will bring some more progress, taking things perilously close to being finished.
