American Original P bass vs. Stingray Special video

I've never heard a bass tone excite me as much as a Ray. I love a P bass but the first time I heard a Ray and realised what it was (I was about 13) that was it, sold. 

 

They both sound great if i'm honest.

The special necks are on the thin side, between a P and a J I would guess.

On my speakers there's no contest. The P sits in the mix way better for fingers and slap. Great playing!

Just get a Sterling - same neck as the SLO special, same electronics as the old SR5, smaller, lighter body. Best EBMM bass by far.
