I know that with HiFi/Stereo equipment the cable quality/materials can affect the sound, making it warmer/more tinny etc. Is this the same for Bass - Amp cables? There are other custom cable makers available through Basschat, but if you're on a budget I've always found the best value (in terms of quality, signal and longevity) have been the original Fender tweed cables. Boring, I know, but true. It's probably more important to know which cable manufacturers to avoid, in truth. Thanks Happy Jack, Do you know where I can find out what other cable makers there are on here? Is there an existing thread with a list for example? I don't want anything fancy as I'm just starting out, but something with a good sound and fairly affordable. Sounds like those Fender tweeds might be a good option, too.
