NBD - SX Short Scale P Bass

My first brand new bass in many many years. Going to be a little project bass.

Out of the box seems really good quality for £160 delivered! Came with a little paper thin soft case too.

Probably going to be changing most of the hardware on it and maybe routing for a J pickup at the bridge. Not plugged it in yet but initially very happy.

These are nice little basses. I had the same one in LPB. The body and neck are decent, the hardware is ok new, pickup was ok, but electrics were rather poor. The tort pickguard on mine looked cheap and a bit naff close up.

Did you change anything on it? Curious what will fit being a shorty. Bridge and tuner wise.

I stuck a Gotoh and Schaller bridge on my Squier Jag SS and MIM Mustang.

Exact measurements are on their websites. Gotoh will fit straight into a Squier/Fender 5 hole... Schaller will require some new holes and it helps if you make sure it's dead straight.

Actually a big fan of gotoh bridges too. Thanks for that.
