However I do think that on the whole fitting the Badass II Bridge did as much to improve the sound of the bass for 1/4 the price. Also check to body thickness and cavity depth of your Squire before buying. The body on mine is significantly thinner than a standard Fender J and as a consequence I had to route about 2mm out of the control cavity for the J-Retro to fit.
