I have spent the last couple of days going over my transcription of Jeff Berlin's bass part for 'Fainting In Coils'. I was looking at it as part of my own practice regime and noticed some errors that needed addressing so I thought it would be an easy thing to do.

Of course, I did that one originally a few years ago and, this time, I was able to put the original track through MOISES and I can hear every detail in a way that I couldn't before. As a result, I can hear even more mistakes and the whole exercise has taken longer than I expected.

It has also left me thinking that I probably need to do this with ALL of the pre MOISES charts, especially the Jeff Berlin ones!

Sometimes you just have to follow your heart. Ken Baldock's bass part for the theme tune to Mr. Benn. The band was led by Duncan Lamont and featured Kenny Wheeler on trumpet. And, get this. The musicians were credited at the end of each episode!

There is a video and I thought it was attached. Looks like the video has been blocked for some reason. I will check/reattach when I get home tonight. There are plenty of versions of it on YouTube.

This is a lot easier to read than the original and I am pretty sure all the notes are correct. In a strange twist of fate (honestly, I didn't know), ChrisDev posted his transcription of this tune only a couple of days ago. I have noticed a few differences but am happy to stand by mine. Transcribing is not an exact science and we are allowed to hear things differently.

Superb Rob, took me back to being a kid again. Loved Mr Benn plus you added the full programme of Mr Benn and not just the intro music.
