Bilbo Posted August 25 Author Posted August 25 (edited) Apologies for going 'off topic' but I have done another mahoosive Al Di Meola chart that I am really proud of. This is the solo guitar part for the tune 'Esmeralda' from the 2015 Al Di Meola album, 'Elysium'. I do these for my own purposes but it seems silly just to keep them to myself. Let your guitar player friends know about them if you think they may be interested. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/esmeralda-al-di-meola/ Edited August 25 by Bilbo 1 Quote
Bilbo Posted August 27 Author Posted August 27 Back to the Bottom End, this is the complete Victor Bailey bass part for the tune 'Blue Victory' from a live concert by a band that I believe is led by guitarist Gyula Bados. A request from a regular. Decent 90s fusion with Bailey playing the lead and soloing. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/blue-victory-babos-bailey-carrington-jinda-szakcsi/ 2 Quote
Bilbo Posted August 28 Author Posted August 28 Another gorgeous Mike Stern ballad, the latest transcription is the complete Mark Egan performance of the tune 'Goodbye Again' from the 1986 Stern album, 'Upside Downside'. Not a massive challenge but interesting nevertheless. A beautifully constructed tune and a beautifully executed performance. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/goodbye-again-mike-stern/ 1 Quote

Bilbo Posted Wednesday at 16:44 Author Posted Wednesday at 16:44 The complete Anthony Jackson bass part for the tune 'Endeavour' from the 2012 Hiromi Trio Project album, 'Move'. Some challenging passages but it's do-able. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/endeavour-hiromi-uehara/ Quote
Bilbo Posted Thursday at 08:16 Author Posted Thursday at 08:16 A bit of personal nostalgia this morning, the complete Jon Camp bass part from the 1978 Renaissance single 'Northern Lights. It was on the band's album, 'A Song For All Seasons'. A lovely part. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/northern-lights-renaissance/ 2 Quote

Thanks very much Rob. 1 1 Quote
Bilbo Posted Thursday at 20:27 Author Posted Thursday at 20:27 A request off a Facebook transcription page, this is the complete Victor Wooten part for the tune 'Bil Mon' from the 2003 Bela Fleck and The Flecktones album, 'Little Worlds'. Lot of ghost notes so not an easy read. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/bil-mon-bela-fleck-and-the-flecktones/ 1 Quote
Bilbo Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago A relatively easy read but a beautiful tune for all that. The intro solo and the bass part for the head of Kenny Wheeler's 'Gentle Piece' from the 1990 'Music for Large and Small Ensembles' (ECM). Dave Holland is the bass player. The solo is very freely interpreted and there is no real time feel so bear that in mind. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/gentle-piece-intro-and-head-part-kenny-wheeler/ Quote
