@dmccombe7: thank you, very much the same thoughts. Now I am in a happy situation that the band I play most uses scores a lot (practically everyone reads). I even find tabs a bit complicated to use.

And all thanks to our Rob.

Another Al Di Meola guitar transcription, this is his arrangement of the Beatles tune 'In My Life' from his 2013 album, 'All Your Life: a tribute to The Beatles'. It is only a partial transcription as a second guitar comes in half way through and I was only interested in the solo element so I stopped. I thought I would post it on here anyway rather than leave it sat there doing nothing.

I have wanted to get something like this down for so long but it is really hard to catch it. Moises and Transcribe@ helped but this was still really challenging. This is my interpretation of the complete Ricardo Lugo bass part for the tune 'El Leon' from the 2006 Paoli Mejias album, 'Transcend'. I know you were all waiting eagerly for this one.... Seriously, this one will more for study and there aren't many of us that could sight-read read this kind of thing.

A hint of tempo might give a better view to what's coming up. The bass part itself doesn't look that bad but after listening to the song I really understand the issues mentioned.

I find it hard to make chart like this settle when the tempo is so fierce. The difference between two sixteenth notes is tiny and easy to flunk.

I am SO proud of this one. I got this album when it came out and have always loved this track particularly but there was no way I was ever going to be able to get it down on paper (I couldn't read then, anyway). Moises has allowed me to get right in there and I was able to listen to the details almost forensically and I think I have got almost every ghost note. There are a couple of bars that sound like he has flubbed a couple of notes but that can only be heard in a remixed version slowed down ay 50% (I had never noticed them before and it may be that I am not hearing it properly. If that is the case then I apologise to Mr. Willis unreservedly). I think I have got it pretty much.

This is the complete Gary Willis bass performance of the tune 'Caribbean' from the first Tribal Tech album, 'Spears' (1985 - that's 40 years ago - unbelievable).
