Status Energy?

Hi all

Could anyone offer any advice on these? I realise they aren't perhaps regarded as 'real' status as I don't think there's any graphite in these at a, but are they good basses and is there anything to watch out for?

Thanks in advance,

James

I had a 6 string Energy. Lovely bass, wide and flat (shallow) neck profile, similar to Status Groove bass.

Fat tones (very versatile eq) and comfortable balanced body.

I’ve liked all the wooden necked Statii I’ve owned, don’t know why anyone would consider them not a proper Status bass.

From this example of a five string one sold by Bass Direct:

"Secondhand UK made 1990s bass in great condition with light player wear that features a lightweight walnut body (the bass weighs 8lb 4oz/3.7kg), Status Hyperactive J pickups, Graphite reinforced 34.25” scale Maple neck, Rosewood f/b, pre shape eq with active treble cut and boost."
