Collectable Vintage American Amplifier - hard to find one in the UK.   

A very cool looking practice/recording amp.

 

ABOUT THE AMP

This is a vintage sounding solid state amp:

·         20-watt

·         Solid state chassis

·         Single 12" speaker.

·         Features Gain, Treble, Bass, Master Volume, dual inputs, Line out on rear

·         Also includes Reverb

 

CONDITION:

·         Very Good - Used

·         The amp has been cleaned and serviced. 

·         Grill has been resprayed.

·         Rest of the outer casing in an untouched condition.

·         Please bear in mind the age of this vintage amp - there are some scuffs, scratches, and dents in the wooden cabinet. The wear on the amp very much adds to its character!!

·         The ‘on’ light does not work but the amp works and all the controls also work.

ABOUT CRATE AMPS:

Manufactured by SLM of St. Louis, USA, they were named ‘crate’ after the wooden cabinet. After a few years of production, the company opted to use more conventional cabinets.

I had one of these back in the day!   Though i recall mine had a kind of basket weave grille matching the pine box exterior.

Haven't seen another since - nice amps, GLTWS!

The pine makes them look good in rooms around the house. It's one of the few amps which you might not be asked to move by the other half 😂
