bassace Posted July 24, 2018 Share Posted July 24, 2018 (edited) We’ll soon be contemplating downsizing, so I don’t want to make the move with four double basses in tow. Here is my Martin Solo Bass. This one of the top of the range basses based on Martin’s 3/4 model but with the upper bouts reduced in width to get better access to all parts of the fingerboard. Needless to say this bass sounds superb. It was built in March 2015 and has had quite an easy life since. It comes with a gigbag and I can fit a Fishman Full Circle pickup if required. Now do the maths:- New from Martins this would cost around £13k. It is at present advertised on a double bass website for £9.5k. I’m offering it on this forum for £8.5k, no offers.
