hooky_lowdown Posted May 30, 2018 Share Posted May 30, 2018 I'm building a 50s P bass, and now its time to add a decal. I have a Fender waterslide decal, spagehetti logo. ikay Posted May 30, 2018 Share Posted May 30, 2018 Pre CBS decals were applied on top of the lacquer. Not sure of the exact year they started varnishing over the decal but if your replicating a 50s Fender then the decal was on top of the finish.
