Selling my second Ampeg V4 head from 1973. (120V)

Even better for bass than V4B because of 3-stepped gain, so you can play with nicer sound at lower volumes. Old(NOS) tubes on power amp - works great, new/nos tubes on preamp. Recently checked, biased and cleaned by my tech. 8/4/2 ohms out with two output jacks so you can use a lot of different cabs. If you pull two power tubes out, you'll have half power and even more cab flexibility (ohmage changes). £970 total - paypal costs at my side, shipping costs (courier expedited) to uk and mainland eu free of charge. Amp does not need any work but 3-prong power cable with a ground pin will be a good thing to this baby.

If you have any questions please let me know

Does this amp have, or need, a step-down transformer in order to run on UK 240v mains supply..?

Most V4s would need a stepdown transformer as they can't be rewired quickly for 240 (only 2 primary wires from PT). The external transformers 240>120V are cheap like £40-50 new (for a 1000W version).  V4 needs minimum 700W value, so 1000 is good too. It's also good choice not to modify because you will have original operating voltage and hertz + power stability and protection too. If you can't find that I Can find one for you.
