Great player,he's a songwriter first and foremost and writes some great lines to suit.If you want some stuff to put on and jam to for 5 minutes plus look out for Bring on the night live cd,Omar hakim on drums and you can improvise to your hearts delight

Favourite bass lines .Spirits in the material world,Burn for you,King of pain,Shadows in the rain

He' a great bass player. It takes great ears (and great confidence) to play with so much space. Plus, he has the chips to play really busily if he wants to - after all, he first started out in the jazz rock outfit Last Exit.

Anyhow, here' a live clip of a wonderful performance of "Wrapped Around Your Finger" during the Police's reunion your. Absolutely gorgeous.

I enjoyed that. He has a really nice mellow tone on his bass. Assuming the PA rig is for his bass pedals as only the bass cab is mic'd up. Looks like 2 Taurus pedals too. Nice.

Not sure where the percussion was coming from when Copeland changes between drum kits tho. Pre-recorded ?
