bassmayhem Posted May 13, 2017 Share Posted May 13, 2017 (edited) My old Steinberger XL2/5 is for sale or trade. I look for a 4 string Steinberger L2 or XL2, the only trades I am interested in. The bass is used, has some fine scratches here and there, noticable in sunlight. Minor dings and dents, but really minor. Still, it has been used since 1985... The bass has a "somewhat peculiar" preamp installed, it was there when I got it. It is an old Haz Lab pre - made for the Steinberger bass - with two band eq, but just one tone control, so it works a bit odd. Boosts bass in one direction and boosts treble in the other. However, with the tone control in the middle it is thunderous. Tectonic plate shattering! With a B-string that matches my Dingwalls. New strings and a new spare kit in the original gigbag. I'll be in London next week (May 18-21) so just go for it... Can be shipped from Sweden on buyers expense.
