Normally I have my basses strung with flats and I was just wondering if anyone here has played a Spector with flats. If so, would you recommend it and which brand/type? I'd seriously recommend Jazz Thomastik flats. They're beautiful strings - almost like playing gut strings. They're also really flexible so you can get great bending effects with them. They'll give you a really smooth mellow sound that your spector will probably turn into a almighty boom.
