Hi all

I recently purchased this from Kevsy71 and beautiful though it is, the neck is a little too 'shallow' for me (I prefer a chunkier neck, such as on my Steve Harris sig).

So, it's for sale at the price I paid for it and includes the additional goodies that came with it i.e.the original pickup, chrome pickup and bridge covers and thumb rest/pull.

Here are the key points from the original ad detailing the mods etc:

History and mods
I bought this from eBay about a month ago.

The stock pickpups are included with the sale, however I have fitted Fender 'Original Vintage pbass' pickups which have a fantastic full range to them: http://www.thomann.d...bass_pickup.htm .

At the same time I swapped the rather flimsy stock pots for Fender CTS pots, and replaced the 0.1uF cap for a 0.047uF, as I found the tone rolled fully off with 0.1 to be too muddy. Rolled off now it gives thump without the mud. I redid all the pickguard screws with a Fender set, as some of them had a spot of rust/wear.

Finally I added a Fender bridge ashtray/pickup cover, and a non-Fender maple thumbrest which complements the neck nicely.

[s]Strung with Fender Nickel roundwounds 7150M .045 .105 [/s] ## Now strung with a new set of 7250ML strings ##

[s]Note: no hardcase, but I will include a basic Ritter softcase.[/s]

Condition
See photos for a couple of body dings, also the ding on the edge of fretboard halfway between nut and first fret on G side (this is very tiny)

## There are also some marks at the back of the body at the chamfer as shown on the photographs. These were not noted in the original ad but are minor ##

Sounds
Full working order, sounds and plays beautifully. The new pots and pups really give a lovely range from grind to thump. The neck on these is very playable, don't be put off by the width!

This really is a gorgeous looking and sounding bass, but I just can't live with a skinny neck!

Ideally looking for a sale with collection/meet up preferable (I'm in South Yorkshire). Possibly interested in a trade for a nice P with a fatter neck.
