He's one of my favourite bass players of all time, he's not very well known i guess. very groovy funk bass player for one of my favourite bands, Fantastic groove the man had. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waSM0rXDLys

Played bass for many years with Maze and Frankie Beverly, as well as on the great Joy and Pain record.. He was just a fantastic edition from the start to this band.

His slap and finger style. He mixes the two styles flawlessly in his playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mBolaUzH9M

Played this brill stuff back in the day...tricky bassist to emulate.. he's very smooth, love it.

Just got to thinking bout the production quality on a lot of these old tunes...clear, crisp instrumentation with amazing separation...why the heck does everything today sound like a dull mush..
