SwamiRob Posted December 21, 2015 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Looking to get some new hardware for my Fender Bullet and would love it if they matched the tuning pegs, have no idea what they're made of or what their finish was however, as I can't seem to find anything new with this sort of look to it. My only guess from looking around is they're nickle and they've just aged as it's a pretty old bass, but I'm not too sure. The other alternative is getting them shined up a bit, but whether that is possible is another question, and I'm sure that wouldn't be a popular decision... If you want sparkly try cleaning them gently with Duraglit - follow the instructions on the tin. Do not rub hard as the Duraglit is abrasive and may rub off the nickel plating. [/quote] If I understand correctly, jewellers' rouge will do the same thing, but rather more gently. Where you get it, and how much it costs, I don't know. linear Posted December 21, 2015 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Please don't polish those they look *amazing* Personally, I'd be happy to have mismatched hardware on my bass - that way it tells a true story.
