So I've had my eye on the Gruvgear GigBlade for a while now but I'm struggling to find any user reviews of them.

Who's got one, are they comfortable, what are they like on long walks, do they protect your instrument well?

I wouldn't buy one solely because you can only carry them on one shoulder. Best way to give yourself back problems. Maybe fine for an acoustic guitar but the weight of a solid body bass would just throw everything out of balance.

Some years ago I went back to college as a (very) mature student. There was a one mile walk from the station to the campus. I thought I would look cool with a case full of books slung over one shoulder. My back didn't like it at all so switched to a back pack over both shoulders. Never noticed the same weight as it was evenly distributed. Just my experience, others might know differently.

From what I've seen you can actually wear the case in a 'backpack' style with a extra strap!
