I am considering selling my very rare and mint condition Kawai F11B bass, these basses sound fantastic very similar to Alembic. 18 volt active pre amp.

In NW England, will courier at buyers cost. Possible trade for Nate Mendel P bass and cash.

Regards

Stuart

Badass, they are kind of filters open close neutral, called character switches, they take you from John Entwistle late 70s 80s to Stanley Clarke Mark King. The knobs are volume and tone for each pickup. There still information on the web on the circuits. Stu

FlatEric, it is clear that your wonderful collection is entirely incomplete without this bass ;) Stu

Isabass, I currently lack the means to weigh the bass, but its medium weight, not heavy or light, I will get it weighed and get back to you Stu

I have a sofa like that! Hold on a minute, thats my house lol. Seriously its a great bass ,I seem to remember it weighing around 9 1/2 lbs. Wish I had the cash,I would have bought it back. Mk2 Kawai f2b 3d bridge and different switch arrangemnet too. Best finish on these also. GLWS

Hi Mikhay, hope you don't mind my using your pics? In two minds about selling, want a Status Streamline, have too many basses, so I have put a few up for sale, some on here, one on ACG Facebook page and one in my mates shop. Its a case of what sells first. Do like this bass. Hope things good with you. Stu

Yes those with direct experience of alembic say they are a close representation, I think the name F11b is derived from an alembic preamp F2b, but this is just what I am told by those more knowledgable than I . I do love the sound of the bass ca easily get the John Entwistle alembic sound and a great slap funk tone.
