Both body (PU cavity) and neck heel pencil-dated 1960. Stunning Brazilian rosewood [u]slab fingerboard[/u]. Deep preCBS contours. All electronics are original, as is the body, neck, PG, etc. Truss rod works perfectly. The back of the neck seems to have been very lightly sanded a long time ago too. It feels simply amazing. Neck is straight, action is low, tone is perfect. Really, this bass has -as you can expect- THE PBass tone. Comes with a Fender OHSC from the mid 60s and original bridge cover. Is everything else original on the bass except for the paintjob (screws, etc.) and are there any repairs? drums1977 Posted December 30, 2014 Author Share Posted December 30, 2014 In complete honesty, i am not able to tell an original screw from just some very old screw, sorry. Everything in this bass looks pretty old to me. No repairs to my knowledge, and none I can spot. I have set it up and put it apart several times and all responds perfectly, it is very solid and well built. And it plays and sounds fantastic. drums1977 Posted January 3, 2015 Author Share Posted January 3, 2015 The nut width is the typical P Bass', can't say the exact figure (I could measure it if requested), like any 60s reissue or a CS Pino. The neck shape is quite flat and confortable, I would say exactly like a Pino. I think that one is called a D shape, but not sure, Hope this helps!
