I used to use a guy by sending him an Mp3 and then usually paying around £10 per tune ( most often simple reggae/ ska stuff), anyhow this geeza recently agreed to do some tunes for me so i paid him £30 for 3 tunes and he's disappeared of the face of the earth with my money (pikey!)-Not an irie bass brethren at all!. Don't get me wrong, when i can find time i do work stuff out by ear, infact most of the time, but my job is very demanding these days on my time and as i play with a covers band that turns out tunes like a capitalists whipping production line i struggle to keep up and having music/tabs is much quicker.....so anyone up for a quick dollar for a few simple reggae/ska lines give me a PM (no pikeys please!) Be reasonable: I am NOT looking for people to dare me to transcribe impossibly difficult charts. I just want to help if I can and to advocate for the value of reading and transcription. I was just about to ask for some Schoenberg Seriously though, I don't think the OP should have to pay unless he/she wants a professional-looking chart with chords, parts etc. that would take hours to complete. Pressure to provide perfect charts, potential problems re: taxable income, breach of contract issues blah blah blah. Its a favour for other Basschatters, not a commercial enterprise.
