MINT 1988 Steinberger XL-2A UF (unlined fretless) SOLD, PENDIN' PAYMENT £1600

Hi guys,

I have this old (but gorgeous) all composite fretless Steinberger XL-2A for sale, Nr. 5787, (XL-2AUF would be the correct model, you can see this on Steinbergerworld, in the serial number database), totally original.

I thought to sell it for my extended range ispiration, I'm on that side, I've some music to rec, so I'm regretfully going to sell the best fretless I've ever played

The bass is in very mint conditions as you can see in the pics, [color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]no chips, very few little marks at all, almost perfect thinkin' that it was made in 1988.[/font][/color]

[color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]It has active electronic and active EMG pickups:[/font][/color][color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif] Master Volume, Pickup Pan, Bass/Treble Boost/Cut.[/font][/color]

[color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Neck in these all composite instruments never change with the weather and it lose a 1/8 of half-tone each month, really amazing for this and obviously for its fat tone [/font][/color]

[color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Currently set up with a set of Status Flatwound, hardware in all these years has been lubricated (don't know if is correct this word, you obviously MUST correct me) [/font][/color]

Oh my goodness. I remember recording with one of these way back when you could buy them new…superb instruments. I have to settle with my fretted XL2. If I had spare cash I would buy this straight away...

Playin' fretless now is definetely not my thing, I'm on the other side, find another one will be very very very difficult.. if you used it in a studio.. "never lost in mix", you know what it means
