So very tempted by this.

Growly and grunty as I imagine? ;) Compared to the OTB, less valvey but suitably angry when pushed? I like these as they have a lot of girth and power especially in the lows but nice spank in the high mids

I know you have fab (and similar to me, shocker! haha!) taste, and I've been looking into getting one of these. Just need to scrape the money together...

Either way, bumpo for a top gent!

Thanks Adam. I've been holding off a reply to answer a pm question, ie apparently these have a hiss on the DI output. Well, I've never noticed one so we DI'd the amp last night just to test, as I very rarely use the DI. Guitarses, drummer and my muppet self listened intently for a hiss. I jiggled the EQ section, especially with the treble right up, no hiss.
In terms of sound, I only look for what I want out of it. Rolling the bass almost completely off at the amp, contour full on and boosting the low mids a good bit gets the Precision going nicely in Bad Co mode with the tone rolled off on the guitar. Put the tone right up on the guitar and it is in to Steve Harris areas. With the jazz, I find slight boost on bass on the amp, the rest pretty much flat, gives you from JPJ to Jaco by using volume and tone rotaries on the bass itself.
I very rarely use the amp and cab at home, mainly because they are in the small back bedroom. Any volume reduces the amount of plaster left in place. I set it up to try a new purchase on Thurs night (Jetglo unmentionable) and started with completely"flat" eq. That bass sounded absolutely STUNNING, even in the little back bedroom.
Look after yourself fella, all the very best.

Bargainous!

Many thanks for the comment Merton. When I do sell something, I always take into account condition and try to arrive at a price that is fair to both buyer and seller.
Cheers,
Karl.
