Ramsay777 Posted March 13, 2014 Share Posted March 13, 2014 Hi guys and gals, i've got a spector euro 5lx that i bought damaged off ebay a few years back. It looks like it had been dropped by the previous owner and has a crack that runs "through" the control cavity; it runs on either side of the cavity and looks to be through the lacquer to the wood, the crack's never "grown" in the time i've had it. There's also a few scratches and dings, so i think it's time i got 'er fixed up as it really is a nice bass. I'll try get some photos up soon. Finished in black cherry with gold hardware, through-neck, you know the details. I'd like to get it repaired,refinished and i'll probably change the hardware to black (including a bridge with intonation screws!!) Now, who to contact for such a task? I can't imagine stripping and refinishing a neck-through guitar to be an easy task... I hope i've posted this in the right sub-forum. With the finish being a stain, will i have to keep with red or only have the choice to go darker in colour?
