I got these in a bunch of stuff i bought from a dude. He said they're noiseless pickups, and they have 3 wires coming from them. Im just wondering, based on their underside, and rounded edge design, can anyone identify them?

They measure 4.81k and 4.99k. He said they were old, so im assuming they're not made not within the current millennium.

Any help would be cool chaps.

I have a very similar set on a Hondo Jazz.
I suspect Jon will be along soon to solve the mystery.

Just what I was thinking. About Jon that is. :)

Rounded J pups like that ended up on a lot of 70's Japanese basses.

Captain Predictable to the rescue! B)

Of very little, as the question's already answered - generic 70s J pups typical of Japanese and Korean copies from that era. I assume they made these round-ended because it was quicker & easier to do the crude round-ended routes they got fitted in. Also all the J copies back then had ashtrays, so they weren't really designed to be seen.

Never seen 3-wire examples of these, but I have seen this on other old MIJ single coils, extra wires are additional grounds. Doubt if these will turn out to be twin coil but I wouldn't rule it out - they won't be potted so the covers should come off with a bit of careful encouragement.

Jon.
