Dave Gladden fretless

Hi I've been offered a fretless bass made by Dave Gladden back in the 80s. I don't know anything about him except that he made a guitar for Nik Kershaw? It's not a bad bass but I have never heard of the guy - anyone?cheers Karl

Dave was based in Wivenhoe, near Colchester and was a great bloke. He did a lot of work on one of my basses, recommended SWR amps to me and helped me source a Kubicki Ex Factor in the early 90s. I always wanted him to make a bass for me - wasn't to be though.

Lost touch over the years - Not sure what he's up to now

I've just bought a Dave Gladden bass which seems to play well with a mighty sound. Apparently made in 1987, in a metallic pink, it has been gigged and has some wear marks, but otherwise in good condition. It's very difficult to get information through.
