VTypeV4
Pulled one of these out of those W-Bins I've 'adopted'.. It seems to be in good working order and looks massively chunky although it would probably be a bit cruel to put it back into that bin. Maybe the 2225 JBL I have would be better suited.. lozbass
Brings back memories - highest end of the celestion range in the mid-late '70s I think. I had one in a similar bin. There were a couple of power ratings on the 15 - I think yours is the higher

VTypeV4
Did they ever do T/S specs for these? I did a search but didn't find anything.. I was wondering how one would react in a reasonably small vented box tuned to around 50 Hz but without data, I can't model it.. As above, I removed it from an old horn so I'm kinda guessing it will have a high motor strength as well suitable compliance for use in a small enclosure. That is assuming it was appropriately specified in the first place. Lots of assumptions and educated guesses here but if anyone has experience and / or data, please share as it would be appreciated. bartelby
Email Celestion. They're pretty good with info
tonewheels
I had a Richard Allan cab with two these about 1983. Terrible thing. Totally untuned. I managed to find the T/S parameters and built a 1x15 cab to partner a Trace 410 and AH500X. Still not good. Saw sense and went back to an SVT and 8x10. VTypeV4
Awaiting a response from Dr Decibel at Celestion. He's been very helpful in the past.
