As above they should both have same volume but you need to remember that the strings are tighter by the bridge and therefore unless you put some beef in your picking by the bridge you would get a quiter volume from the back one, and one way of balancin the 2 volumes would be by lowering the neck pickup and raise the back one.

Another intersting fact is that these pickups are front and back specific and cannot be not interchanged because the bridge one it's slightly wider than the neck one du to the fact that Jazz bases have very narrow neck at the nut and as a result the strings spacing closer to the bridge is wider than it is at the neck pickup.
