I was under the impression the the Golden's were a slightly heavier gauge than the Silver's--I am sure I read that somewhere. If you know why the different colours? Clarky Posted August 2, 2013 Share Posted August 2, 2013 Super Silvers are higher tension (still only medium ish) than Silver Slaps, maybe that what you were thinking of? The difference between Silver and Golden Slaps is purely cosmetic, the Golden ones are more gut looking to me whereas the Silvers are rather translucent white looking.
