Warwick Corvette Standard Active Bass valuation

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm new to this forum so sorry if this is in the wrong place :)

I'm looking to sell my Warwick bass, it's probably about 7 years old at least and has a few cosmetic issues but in fine working order. I have no idea how much it's worth as the brand new price seems to vary everywhere I look. Does anyone know how much it's worth roughly? Or do you need more information?

Thanks a lot!

Matt

Okay, definitely in the wrong place.

You should probably
- (a) post a "what's this worth" thread in the 'Bass Guitars' forum here: http://basschat.co.u...6-bass-guitars/ - that will give you some idea of the market price.
- (b ) have a look and a search in the 'Basses For Sale' forum here: http://basschat.co.u...asses-for-sale/ - that will also help you to set a price.
- (c ) post a For Sale thread, with pics (or a link to them on, say, Photobucket) and a good description (including the actual model - "Warwick" doesn't tell us much :) . If you set the price too high, then nobody will buy it. So, price high and be prepared to reduce the price till you get takers. Be aware that you MUST post a price - this is not an auction site - and that there is a £20 fee to sell anything valued above £50 (I think).

(If you're really not sure what model it is, post pics and ask for help. Someone will be able to tell you.)

Good luck with your sale :)

Thanks a lot, I'm not looking to sell on this site but rather sell to a friend, I'm just looking for a valuation. Hmm I thought the model was a Warwick Corvette Bass (as it says in the title) Either way I'll have more luck on the other threads! Thanks a lot mate, really helpful :)

Realistically it depends how long you're willing to wait for the right price, when in the month you sell it and so on. BassGear had my '03 Corvette 5 in for £750, though I got a very good deal on it at the London bass show, and in a hurry I sold my John East'd 4 to a mate for £550. The average going price for an average condition Standard appears to be around £500 - £600 I reckon.

Pictures tell a thousand words though.
