Stuart Zender effects- what compression pedal/unit did he favour when in Jamiroquai?

Stuart had a very compressed bass sound when in Jamiroquai. Does anybody know what kind of compression pedal/unit he favoured around that time. Any info is appreciated Thank you.

I was thinking ME-6B; on a quick search I found plenty of references to the 6B and 8B.
Probably depends just which time slot you look at.

Twas both! First the former then the latter.

edit - by the way, it will have been a lot of outboard compressors in the studio he will have used, fairly certain most of his bass parts were straight to the desk so any good compressor will get you that really squashed sound, as opposed to just buying the boss unit.
