vmaxblues Posted February 1, 2013 Share Posted February 1, 2013 I have a lovely Squier Vintage Modified HB Jaguar, which is a great instrument, but I want to upgrade the pickup. The current one is a Musicman type, does anyone know of a straight replacement for this. It is an active bass also, so don't know if I would have to be looking at replacing the eq too? HazBeen Posted February 1, 2013 Share Posted February 1, 2013 It is a Fender design humbucker, not anything like the MM size (although it works the same pretty much). You either need to rout to correct dimensions or look for one that you can just pop in. It looks as if it might be EMG35 size. I think the Wizard GEMS 4 string would probably fit it, that is DC35 size if I am not mistaken. if you post the dimensions I am sure quite a few BC member would be able to provide you with advice on what is and is not an option.
