The headphones I rely on from day to day are Sennheisers , but by trial and error I managed to find a design from their range that is fairly bulletproof and they have , thankfully , lasted years with no problems at all

I will go with another manufacturer, but after a look at Amazon reviews of all sorts, I am completely lost :) iGrado looked good but they apparently leak noise and I hate people with leaky headphones.

Cheers.

iGrado are excellent, as are most Grado products, but as you say they are leaky. My pair are around 4 years old now, but I do think the cable is too fine for harder use. If you can stretch to some SR80s or SR60s you won't be disappointed.

RE: Ear Buds: After seeing some horror pictures from hospitals and A & E of what terrible ear bud headphones have caused to peoples ears, when they come off inside the ear. I'd never wear any EVER again. Seriously.
