I have the original box too but preferred to keep it in the case pictured. [/quote] Hi Ziggy, Never tried it with a 5 string but lost virtually no signal at all with a 4 stringer. tried it at approx 50ft and still had a perfect signal(couldn't hear my amp from there so I had to return to it hehe!) MacDaddy Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 this is what i have been happily using for nearly 10 years. i've used it with guitars and basses- 5s and 6s and never had a problem. there is something inside the transmitter that you can tweak to suit the instrument that you are using.
