I was looking at coloured strings yesterday..we all know about coloured DRs but you can also get coloured strings from Aurora:

http://stringsbyaurora.com/our-strings/our-colors

DRs will provide custom sets to dealers - not sure about to customers but they are available in the following sizes:

30, 40, 45, 50, 60, 65, 70, 80, 85, 90, 100, 105, 110, 120, 125 (not 0.35 though)

If you're into a set of multi-coloured strings you could go for a set of Alice multi-coloured - available on eBay for about £8 - surprisingly good value and the colour stays on.With your machine heads you could just get some plastic and shrink to fit with a paint stripping gun...

I'd like to see the results...

There used to be a US seller on Ebay that would let you choose what colours you wanted of DR ones - I got 6 different ones for this bass

I'm getting a Dean Playmate from my other half for christmas :)

It's black, so I'm going to add some coloured strings, machine heads etc, to personalise it (in green) as well as some other features

For the sake of shrink wrapping plastic onto them, I may as well get some metal paint, and paint them and put a layer of sealent / gloss on top to prevent cracking
