leave it for the daytime at the weekend as it may get warm enough to do it?

Good job so far, looking forward to seeing the finishing article.

That's what I was planning to do. I'm trying not to rush to do it since I've been waiting for so long now!

Thank you :)

I've had a busy week :D

So the bass is now orange and both it and the neck have been lacquered!

Primer!

I will get more pictures of it together soon with a better camera! :)

So I've attached the neck, put the strap buttons on and the headstock is done :)

I bought a scratchplate and it didn't fit so that's going back, I just ordered another one, may or may not fit, unsure atm.

But it's getting there :)

I've just glued the nut back on so that's what's with the clamp

Right so update..

I couldn't find a scratchplate that fits so.. I made one!

It's white.. Not quite finished but I put the strings on and it's officially unplayable :( But hopefully tomorrow my tutor can help set it up.

Pics tomorrow!

Okay.. I lied..

Here's a pic of it against the cab I picked up for Ian Savage.

The scratch plate is still not done. I need to round the edges and countersink the screws. I also need to file the nut to get the action lower. May need to shim the neck up a bit more aswell as the bridge is as low as it can go. Oh and need to shield everything.

But I've been enjoying playing it until I find the time to do it :)

For your viewing pleasure ;)

That's really nice!! Think the white scratch plate sets if off better than a black one.

well done!!

Thank you :)

I'm only 95% happy with it as it's not perfect but I've learnt so much as I've gone along and now I want to do one from scratch!

But first I'm going to attempt to build a U-Bass, built to the spec of the Kala U-Bass. But need to look into it a bit more first :)

Great work Myke!

Go on - do one from scratch, you know it makes sense! ha ha

I really want to! I'm addicted to building and I've not even built one yet! It's on the bucket list!
