Maybe turn off the Big Muff if you want a clear tone :P

Is your Gain particularly high up? And what is EQ set to? Are you boosting any frequencies? It's usually best to cut some frequencies rather than boost others to get your sound if at all possible. Hope that helps a little :)

Like Chris says, EQ is likely to be the problem. Lot's of boost to the low end plus plenty of volume is likely to see the speakers reaching their mechanical limit way before they reach their maximum wattage. Do you get the same problem even at bedroom volumes?
