  1. Hi I bought this amp a few months ago and I'm struggling to get a clear sound out of it, mainly the low end notes really. I play a fender p bass, and don't go through any pedals except maybe sometimes a big muff pedal and a tuner. Any thoughts?
  2. Thanks everyone, Job done it seems, lowered the action to where i want it and feels much better, and intonation is all good. So fingers crossed i think I've done it!
  3. Thanks for all the feedback, I think I will give it go myself then, I had a load of Allen keys but none of them fitted, so thought it must have been specialist tools
  4. Hi Guys, Just after some advice. I have just bought a 2nd hand fender precision which i love, but the action is real high to what i am normally used too. As in on this bass the E string is far off the fret board and decreases on each string, with the G string being quite close. Should they not all be the same amount of the fret board? Also if i get someone to set it up for me do i have to have new strings fitted or can i use the ones on as i think they sound okay to me. Any advice would be appreciated. Many Thanks Vin

  6. its not new, just in good condition (or was at least) more worried that if the paint is cracked it might eventually flake off leaving me with a little bare patch
  7. Hi guys, Just bought my new fender precision bass which i love, and within about an hour of having it a drill fell from nowhere and has put a dent in it, its about 3 or 4mm long and a 1.5mm deep but i think it may have just cracked the paintwork slighty. Its a dark 3 tone sunburst. Any advice on how to fix the dent to make it look brand new or just to prevent it getting any worse. Any help would be grateful thanks

  19. Ok guys, Thanks for all the advice. The marshall's were suggested by a friend. But i am leaning towards to the Peavey setup. I played one a few months back and it was the sound i have wanted for a while. I am not sure exactly what model it was but i think it was a 4 x 10 cab with a peavey head. But i have been looking at the heads and they are very expensive. I don't play in pubs more real music venues between 100 and 500 people, so maybe you could suggest what size cab i should get and if there is any other type of head that would go with the cab that isn't too expensive. Thanks for all the help
  20. hi, i am new to this site but you all seem good guys. Looking at upgrading from a combo amp to separate head and cab, but not sure what works with what. looking at these two, would they go together ok? Marshall MBC410 cab 600/1200w 4 ohms Marshall MB450H B-Stock 450w, hybrid amp with ECC83 tube Could i buy this head and put it with a different cab. I like Peavey amps i have used before so if anyone has any suggestions please help Thanks
