Id rather have the ability to change amp channels, or presets IN the app using my foot, so when practising using ampkit (much better than the IK software IME) i could go from clean to drive without having to touch the phone. I don't know the first thing about the technology involved here, but since the docking interfaces of Apple products have lots of contacts, I'd guess this is perfectly feasible. Of so, it's only a matter of time before we get this. That said, personally I'd be reluctant to use this screen technology in live situations. I think it's most often a lot slower than physical knobs, sliders and buttons, and those also can be controlled with considerably less use of one's eyes.
