steve-soar Posted November 17, 2012 Share Posted November 17, 2012 Keep this bass! It is better sounding than any of my basses, (1980 Stingray, Status S2, etc). When I did the mods to this bass and plgged it in before doing the final assembley, I justed plucked the E string to make sure I had a basis to check that the contols were all working, I thought, "eh up, that sounds a bit fruity". I then put the bass back together and had an upside down play on it. I suddenly felt really happy for its owner and at the same time insanely jealous that this bass was much nicer sounding than anything I play. This bass is worth a hell of a lot more than £725. Probably won't see as much of Mersea as I used when I get back now as my brother's uprooted himself and moved down to Cornwall. Still a nice place for a few pints all the same.
