Status Graphite Series 3000 4-string headless bass (serial number 066) in very good condition. Bought new from the Bass Centre in 1988. Beautiful tone and clarity and feels/plays like only a Status can.

Carbon graphite/composite bolt-on neck.
Phenolic fingerboard, 24 fret.
Scale length 34-inch.
Three piece solid American Black Walnut body in natural hand waxed finish.
2 x Status Hyperactive J pickups.
Status Pre-Set 1 active electronics.
Controls: 21-position Master Volume, Pick-Up Balance (centre indent), Treble cut/boost (centre indent).
Solid brass hardware with gold EP lacquer.
2 x 9V battery in compartment to rear.
Currently strung with Status Hot Wire 40-100 DBE strings.

Some minor scratches and superficial dings, but in very good condition for a 24-year old bass with a natural waxed finish. Some wear to plastic covering on bridge pickup (cosmetic only) and upper strap-button (near bridge) has been removed. Hardly played in last 12 years, hence sale.

Feeding frenzy!!!

I'd like to say that these basses are horrible and I'll take it off your hands cheap. I had 53 bought new in 1988. Wish I never sold it. Some nerdy information for anyone whose interested....

The eq is a preset gull wing graphic type deal and the treble control affects the upper frequencies of that gullwing. The 'flat' position is still like this / but you boost and cut around it. Genius, very tactile and lots of control from one pot.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I went to bed ten minutes before Dave's post, and when I got up the bass had effectively gone!

Damn those early birds, they always get that worm!

The search continues...

Enjoy the bass Roger :-)
