MEC PJ set (active) SOLD

Recommended Posts

It strikes me I don't need these anymore. I was going to keep all the gubbins from my Warwick... but I stuck some barts in which I prefer. I'll use them in a project in a few years if no one wants them.

MEC P and J set. From a 1991 Streamer Stage one. Made in Germany Sound a lot like EMG's apparently. Nice. Bit of string wear on the tops from 20 years of use! I angled them in the pics to make this obvious- not actually that obvious in real life.

dunno, if anyone can make use of them they are here, £50 including postage in UK , offers if you want, trades you can try me- i don't need any pups though. :)

Luke

I know a good luthier at the Bass Gallery ;) So I thought to butcher a little my Precision... Kinda fretted Tony Franklin:

By the way... what's happening with your Warwick? Not for sale?

no way jose! Finally realised what a great bass it is. Took the preamp and pots and pickups out at christmas and stuck barts in it and a glockenklang pre. Well the glockenklang pre I didn't get on with so going to get a new pre sometime.
The pickup and pre were just sat beside my desk for months before I thought someone (warwickhunt) might make use of the pups and the barts aren't ever coming out soon.
I have the preamp if anyone desperate but kinda think it might be worth hanging onto, at least until I find a new pre I like.

that would be a lot of butchering- you'ld have to fit a battery in there too!

Yeap....done it before on my OLP MM2... and a good luthier will make it look like original ;)
Of course I wouldn't experiment on my immaculate Stingray... but the Precision I already got cheap 'cause it's a bit battered, so I don't mind to upgrade it...
On the other hand I could just sell it and buy DeLuxe version which is active already...but there is something I like about my P-bass... maybe the fact that I don't have to worry about the buckle rush? \m/
