I used to have a MusicMan Stingray bass..... Well sort of... a 77 neck, a replica body, proper 3 band EQ and pickups, Badass bridge.... Black/Black Maple. Loved it.... Why did I sell it.... to pay for a BC Rich Bich Bass. Which I also sold (I bought it off the net.... it was short scale eugh!) . I would love to get that one back.

I've only ever sold 3 basses and all of those were originally bought when I needed a bass to do a specific job and didn't have time to wait for the perfect bass to come along but had to make do with what I could get right now. All of them were moved on the moment that they were no longer needed, either because I'd found something I liked better to do the job, or I no longer needed a bass to do that particular job. None of them will ever be missed in the slightest.

At the moment I'm contemplating selling some of my 4-string basses as they don't get much use and are unlikely to in the foreseeable future. A couple of them are nice instruments and are also available in 5-string versions and those will be replaced. The others I'll regret that their manufacturers weren't inventive enough to have made a 5-string version, but that will be as far as it goes.

Totally regret selling an Ibanez Roadstar II bass, well, I think I sold it, it just disappeared, I can't remember selling it, but I don't own it anymore

Have you looked under your uncle's bed?

For me, it's a fretless Frontier bass - never seen another one. And also a guitar - an 80s Japanese Squier which I swapped for a Roland U20. I got the worse end of that deal.
