Pow_22 Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 Just tried to fit some old roto's i had knockin round to my Squier VM telebass and found the bullet wouldnt fit into the ferule on the back of the body (string thru body). Never thought that certain ones might not so does anyone who own this bass know what strings will fit? I know on thier site they ship them from the factory with "Fender® USA Super Bass 7350MS, NPS, (.045-.105 Gauges)" but I know with me, Ive used Roto's and EB Slinkys on my 51 but my others are all top loaded so never come across this problem before. Its not the string lengths that are the problem its just the bullet ends on the strings wont fit (well E string anyway into the ferrules). I've kept my overseas orders below twenty quid and never had a problem. Maybe I have just been lucky. Soon find out as I'm just about to do it again.
