I already have a Markbass CMD121p which I'm very happy with. Both amps are similarly priced, and I can't try either one out. The PJ is the cheapest and it comes with a carry bag (Handy for me biking to rehearsal). Cheers! Clarky Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 I've owned both. High quality sound from each with more EQ possibilities on the Cub. I found the lack of volume a problem at band rehearsals which is why I sold both. Depends on how loud you practice. I was in a large band (drummer, brass section, guitar, several vocalists) and they coulodn't keep up. if you are in quiet acoustic or jazz trio either should be fine, with a leaning towards the greater tonal possibilities of the Cub Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd get an amp that works on a gig, then turn it down a little when rehearsing and turn it down a lot (or even use headphones) when practising. [/quote] So, if I use my CMD121p for rehearsal, practice and gigging, please tell me how I get it back and forth on my motorbike? It doesn't have to be transportable tbh. The CMD stays at our rehearsal spot then goes in the van for a gig. Just small enough to go into my bedroom (Though the carry bag is a nice touch.) We rehearse quietly.
