Ok chaps

Trace 18 inch beast of a cab for sale. Pre Gibson, 300 watts, 8 Ohms.

Tolex covered, in excellent condition, no rips in the tolex, just extremely light scuffing here and there.

Got this in a trade last year, gigged only a couple of times, in conjunction with my 2 x 10.

Only moving it on because I'm feeling old and frail and need something a bit more compact.

For this reason, I'd consider a trade for a Trace 1153 (with a 43cm depth) in similar condition but needs to be tolex, not carpet covered - to match the rest of my rig.

Otherwise, for a straight sale, I'm looking for £150

Cab sounds great used with a 2 x 10, or can be used as a standalone.

PICKUP ONLY I'M AFRAID, DUE TO THE WEIGHT, BUT CAN MEET HALFWAY ETC, WITHIN REASON.

BASED IN LIVERPOOL

Ooh. I might well be interested...

I have two compact, vinyl, pre-Gibbo 1153 cabs, rated at 300W each at 8 ohms (one with jacks, the other with XLR connectors). Happy to trade one of 'em. Based in Birmingham, if you wanna meet half way...

Can you let me know the dimensions and (gulp) the weight? Need to be able to lift it, and get it in the car. And I'll need to balance my other 1153 on the top without it wobbling or falling off.

Also, should you be interested, I have another pre-Gibbo, vinyl compact cab - a 2103x (I'm sure you know thats a 2x10 with 2x5), also 300W @ 8 ohms, weighing in at 31kg...

Cheers,

BB

God knows how I'm gonna weigh this beast Boris

I only have a set of bathroom scales with a glass top, pretty certain they wouldn't stand a chance with this lump on top of them.

It is liftable with the two side handles but is obviously heavy. With careful manouevering, you can get it in the back of a car by holding one of the handles and balancing on your knee (sort of!)

As for measurements, approx 61cmwidth x 69cmheight x 43cm depth.

My 2 x 10 goes on top of this very comfortably and is pretty much the same dimensions as the 1153 I'm sure - at least i'm hoping so ;)

Here's my 2 x 10 on top of the 18 (the feet on the 2 x 10 slot nicely into the cups on the 18)
