Advice on selling a Rickenbacker 4001 copy...

Hi,

I have an Aria RE550 made in 1976. It's an extremely well made copy of a Ricky 4001.

The bass is in overall pretty good condition, with a few scuffs and scratches that come with a 36 year old instrument.

Apart from my one which I picked up on eBay about 6 months ago (I won't give away the price I paid for it yet..), I have never come across one, or even heard about them.

For re-selling sake, I was wondering if anyone out there would have an idea as to the amount that you think it would sell for...not necessarily what you'd want to pay for it, but what you would think it should be...(if that makes any sense!).

I enclose a pic of it, plus a video of me playing it (the sound quality is pretty sh*te as it's my iPhone).

Hi,
I have spent a lot of time looking at what these 70's rick copies go for on ebay, preloved etc over the past year or so. Can't say I've seen an Aria recently, but there've been a few Ibanez's and a couple of Hondo II's like mine on there. A lot of the value will depend on whether it has a set neck and/or stereo output, decent examples with both can be worth around £350-400. However I've seen them go from as low as £200 in good condition, so I think it depends a lot on if the right person is looking to buy.

Sounds great in the vid by the way!
