Cool, thanks for confirming. I've previously owned a similar era Fender J that the previous owner ha told me was all original and it turned out that pickups and pots had been replaced which really devalued it :(

Any idea how much it weighs?

Are you sure?

That's over 12lbs & I've never seen a 70's Fender coming in quite that heavy (my '79P is about 11.5lbs & that's a pretty hefty beast).

Also - do you have a close-up shot of the body that shows the wear mark between the two pickups from a direct 'head-on' view?

But what about the previous owner, had he modified the bass at all??

Thanks for all the interest guys but after some serious thinking I decided I will keep this bass, after all it's not every day that you have an instrument that's older than yourself!
